Position Type: Support Staff/Teacher AssistantDate Posted: 3/26/2026Location: Kids First SchoolESY Autism Support Specialist, Kids First/TOPS - IMMEDIATE NEED Term: EXTENDED SCHOOL YEAR- 6/15/2026- 7/16/2026Work Schedule: Monday- Thursday, 8:30am- 12:30pm Qualifications and Possible Job Duties Include:High School DiplomaPrevious experience and training with students with special needs (Autism Spectrum Disorder) preferredAn issued ODE educational aide permit, or able to obtain a permit from the Ohio Department of EducationSuccessful completion of all pre-employment screeningsSuch alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptableTo assist the student in participating with classroom activitiesTo help student with daily living skills (including, but not limited to: removing coat, zipping, buttoning, tying shoes, and toileting)To assist with behavior interventions and reinforcement activities as directed by the teacherTo assist the teacher to supervise children (for example: halls, restrooms, playground, during gross motor activities, snack/lunch, and boarding the bus)To set up and clean up specific centers in the classroom (art, music, fine motor, etc.)All other duties as assignedSalary: Salary schedule placement commensurate with experience and training.SUMMIT ESC IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER
