Everyone at Prysmian has the potential to make their mark; because whatever you do, wherever you are based, you will be part of a company that is helping transform the world around us.Principal Duties & ResponsibilitiesEnsure all Supply Chain work is performed accurately and timely:Routine monitoring of actual volume by major product groupRoutine calculations of lead times, equipment efficiencies, and rolling volume projections by major product groupAdministration of an accurate finite schedule for all pacemakersProvide guidance to Supervisors and Managers on flow, inventory, rework, and any other actions as neededMaintain accurately dated production ordersDisposition non-conforming product and follow up to ensure it is released, scrapped, cross-applied, reworked, and/or remade as instructedMonitor slow-moving, surplus, and obsolete inventory to ensure it is properly consumed, scrapped, re-worked, cross-applied, and/or reserved by Finance as neededTrue-up raw material inventories in systemPlan raw material and subassembly needs and provide purchase orders to suppliersFollow up on open purchase orders as needed with suppliersPhysical and systematic Receiving, Packaging, finished goods and customer-owned inventory management, and ShippingSafe work environment and behaviors at all levelsAdherence to Collective Bargaining Agreement and Rules of ConductRobust cross-training within teamPresent delivery and inventory topics as appropriate at daily tier meetingsSupervision ScopeDirect supervision of one (1) DC Manager, (2) Supply Chain Schedulers, and three (3) Supply Chain PlannersKnowledge/Skills/AbilitiesStrong leadership skills, including a drive to develop continuous improvement strategies and execute them to deliver resultsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsDemonstrates "lean" thinking by driving continuous improvements in areas directly and indirectly associated with Supply ChainHigh degree of computer skills such as Microsoft Office and SAPExcellent written and verbal communication skills for a broad audience ranging from executives to blue collar team membersSelf-managed work style, with attention to details and understanding of both manufacturing and business principlesQualificationsAt least five years of experience in production scheduling, raw material planning, or freight planning is requiredFour-year degree in a business or technical field is preferredUse of a finite scheduling system is preferredWorking knowledge of Lean and Six-Sigma tools is preferredWork Environment/Physical Demands:Fast-paced and hectic work environment where speed, accuracy, and multi-tasking is required routinelyRegular electronic interaction with internal and external business partners at all levels of the organization
