Employment Type:Part timeShift:12 Hour Night Shift Description:Nampa NICU is looking to hire a part time, night shift registered nurse. The position is benefit eligible. One to two shifts a week, 7pm-7am. More About The Position :Located at our Medical Center off I-84 and Garrity Blvd in Nampa, Idaho, our Nurses work in our beautifulBirkeland Maternity Center, our Nampa NICU is a4 bed (Level II, 34 weeks to term).RNs working this unit will be expected to take shifts in both the Boise and Nampa Family Maternity Units as needed.GENERAL SUMMARY AND PURPOSE: Provides professional nursing care in collaboration with members of the health care team in the ongoing assessment, planning and treatment of patients and families.Utilizes resources wisely while promoting physical, spiritual, and emotional well-being.Maintains accurate and complete documentation of nursing services.Serves as a patient advocate. In addition to providing hands-on nursing care, works and serves in a broad range of capacities including, but not limited to, delegation, assessment, planning of care and treatment, teaching of the patient and the patient's family. Expected to exercise competency in judgment, decision-making, implementation of nursing intervention, delegation of function or responsibility, and administration of medications and treatments prescribed by legally authorized persons.SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Prior RN NICU experience highly desirable. Must have an RN license in the state of Idaho prior to hire date. If multistate license, must establish residency with Idaho Board of Nursing within 60 days of hire.Must provide licensure or proof of application in the state of Oregon for RN license within 90 days of hire .Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire in all units. NRP at six months of hire. PALS, and STABLE at 12 months of hire.
