Job Description:

Hours: 7:30 am - 4:00 pm. Monday - Friday. Subject to OT during emergencies.  Performs work of manual nature which requires experience, skill and knowledge of the construction and maintenance activities on the streets and drainage systems.  Operate power tools, hand tools and light weight equipment used in the Street Operation section, and performs daily maintenance on the equipment and tools to insure reliability.   THIS SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION IS SUBJECT TO MANDATORY DRUG TESTING POLICIES AS A CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT. Qualifications:  Graduation from high school or equivalent and any combination of training and experience that provides the desirable knowledge, abilities and skills.  Necessary Special Requirements: Possession of a valid driver's license when operating a vehicle is necessary to the satisfactory performance of assigned duties. When operating equipment that falls under the Nebraska Commercial Driver's License (CDL) status, the employee is required to possess and maintain the proper license and endorsement.  IF YOU CURRENTLY HAVE A CDL, PRIOR TO BEING HIRED FOR THIS POSITION YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO REGISTER WITH THE FEDERAL MOTOR CARRIER SAFETY ADMINISTRATION DRUG AND ALCOHOL CLEARINGHOUSE AT:
