Sr. AWS SpecialistTeleworkUS Citizenship*Administer, develop, test, or demonstrate databases. Perform many related database functions across one or more teams or clients, including designing, implementing and maintaining new AWS RDS databases, backup/recovery and configuration management. Maintain database management systems (DBMS) and provide input for modification of procedures and documentation used for problem resolution and day-to-day maintenance.Develop solutions using cutting -edge AWS database technologiesLearns all aspects of AWS Databases and storage patterns to include, Relational Database Service (RDS), Dynamo, Amazon Aurora, MySql, etcConduct research on differing approaches to data storage in AWSKnowledge of AWS Database Migration ServiceSolve issues by designing, developing, testing, and deploying solutionsMaintains security and integrity controlsFormulates policies, procedures, and standards relating to database managementMonitors transaction activity and utilization along with system performance metrics to identify potential risks/ issuesDevelops and enforces database administration and user standards and procedures; audits, modifies , and amends data in systems usingWork on indexing, replicating and performing disaster recovery services across multiple AWS regions.Writing, designing, testing, implementing and maintaining database applications using SQL or other database programming languagesAs part of an agile team, will be working closely with other agile team members and customers to implement a software system with multiple integration and backend services.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant work experienceProfessional level certification a plus8-15 years of IT experience with a combination of: Current hands-on working knowledge of AWS Databases such as RDS, Aurora, MySQLExperience with AWS DynamoDB (preferred or NoSQL)AWS Certified SysOps or Database Administrator Associate or Professional desiredExperience working in an Agile environment, familiar with JIRA or other story tracking tool#cjpost
