Fit is seeking a Closing Agent to join a title company in Orange Beach, AL., paying up to $26//HR DOE with opportunity for commission as well as competitive benefits.Job Responsibilities Responsible for processing files for closing and//or post-closing of residential and commercial real estate and mortgage transactionsCoordinates seamless file management throughout closing process, from pre-closing to post-closingMaintains accuracy of files throughout closing process and informs appropriate persons if need for additional documentation or actions ariseCollaborates with realtors and lenders to prepare closing statements, schedule and conduct the closing, prepare and record documents and make appropriate disbursements associated with the settlement processClears title issues, identifies underwriting concerns and balances escrow with minimal oversightPrepares closing disclosures, ALTA Settlement Statement, sellers documents and other curative documents when applicableProcesses incoming and outgoing recordingsProactively works to identify issues with forward progress of loan and title work and facilitates timely problem solving to help ensure timely closings for clients and stakeholdersPerforms other functions and duties as required as agreed upon with managementSkills and Qualifications Displays strong interpersonal, administrative skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team, handle high volume of files and be able to prioritize tasks requiredProficiency with local Probrate Court Search Engine for basic document search, Microsoft Office suite, SoftPro, Pro-Trust and robust computer skills strongly preferredPractices highly effective organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced, deadline driven environmentDemonstrates ability to collaborate and influence outcomes through effective written and verbal communication skillsIdeal candidate will be professional and polished with excellent customer service skillsMust have the flexibility to conduct late closings when requiredAt least two years of prior knowledge and experience working in the title industry is required
