Vintun offers a highly competitive benefits package that reflects our objective of employing top industry performers.The Commander Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC) established Program Manager, Wargaming Capability (PM WGC) to develop and field a system of systems to fulfill the capability gaps identified in the Wargaming Capability Capabilities Development Document (CDD). The PM WGC is responsible for all aspects of acquiring the capabilities defined within the WGC CDD that will focus on providing a state-of-the-art Wargaming Center. Vintun provides direct support to the PM WGC Team in their duties to enable the development and implementation of the necessary war gaming capabilities for the new USMC Wargaming Center. Vintun provides enterprise support to PM WGC. The PM WGC requires a project scheduler to stay abreast of the aggressive schedule and meet integrated prototyping, series of developmental tests, operational tests, system acquisition, system delivery, and system sustainment.Vintun is seeking a forward-thinking Project Scheduler to join our team in support of our USMC client in the Quantico and Stafford, VA area. The Project Scheduler responsibilities include working with the government scheduling lead to manage and/or create program master schedules from preliminary and ongoing project information. The Project Scheduler will review contractor schedules for accuracy and logic, comparing them to what is happening in the field, and report schedule status to all stakeholders on a recurring basis. Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining detailed resource-loaded schedules for implementation, developmental and operational systems. Works with developmental and operational teams to develop detailed schedules and assists in keeping these schedules current. Develops and/or modifies project schedules and or the integration of multiple project schedules into an overall Integrated Master Program Schedule. Maintains the overall Master Program /Project Schedule. Links project schedules with the overarching program, Investment Portfolio, functional area and/or other Integrated Master Plans (IMPs). Provides hands-on development of layered schedules and IMPs that address how an acquisition project is progressing and how that project contributes to overarching requirements and objectives. Maintains and briefs status on linkages and dependencies with related projects.The Scheduler shall possess the following capabilities:Assist in defining and implementing schedule software (MS Project, Office Timeline, Primavera, or specific program mandated software, etc.) management processes and proceduresImplement schedule version control processes, policies and proceduresAssist in maintaining and developing the environment for the overall Master Program/Project Schedule and or the integration of multiple project schedules into an overall Master Program ScheduleMaintain the schedule product build, staging, testing, deployment and integrationDefine and implement schedule configuration management processes and procedures; such as creating product build scripts and procedures, and integrate those scripts with the schedule build processDevelop schedule version control processes, policies and procedures and ensures that they are followed on development or operational schedule development and implementation projectsRequirements/Qualifications5-8 years of project schedule management and/or related DoD experienceUS citizen with Secret clearanceProven ability to solve complex problems creativelyStrong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practicesExcellent analytical and consulting skillsStrong interpersonal skills and extremely resourcefulAbility to work closely with other competency members of Integrated Product TeamsMS Project SME with ability to ask relevant questions relating to dependencies and successors along with providing a critical path analysisPhysical RequirementsWork may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distance may be required.
