Job Description:

Overview Performs a variety of Copy / Mail Center functions, including inventory control, filling departmental requisitions for Copy Center services, notifying requesting department of completed orders, operation of all Copy Center equipment and other Mail Center duties as assigned. Responsibilities Greet customers in a friendly and courteous manner. Act as consultant to user departments for layout, printing, binding, etc. of orders. Process all checks and money addressed to DCH RMC and Northport DCH according to Policy and Procedure. Copy, sort and distribute all checks, money, and receipts addressed to DCH and Northport according to Policy and Procedure. Operate and maintain all Copy Center equipment in a safe and efficient manner, including electronic publishing systems, personal computer, scanning systems, drill press, paper cutter, padding press and bindery equipment. Operation of electronic publishing systems includes all phases of publishing from electronic file input, editing, and printing to finishing, updating manager files, troubleshooting and quality control. Notify requesting departments of orders available for pick-up. Assist in inventory control by maintaining the Copy Center inventory in a clean and orderly manner. Order Copy Center supplies in economic order quantities in order to control cost. Prepare orders for delivery to appropriate destinations. Provide leadership and supervision of Copy / Mailroom staff in absence of Copy / Mail Center Coordinator. Assist in a variety of Mail Center activities and duties as assigned. Perform other clerical duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Previous experience as a printer or similar position in a print shop or copy center is desirable. Experience with personal computer and Microsoft Office Suite software is required. Experience with electronic publishing systems e.g. Fiery, MakeReady and electronic scanners, as well as working with digital printers is desirable. Must have organizational and multi-tasking skills. Must be able to read, write legibly, speak and comprehend English. WORKING CONDITIONS Environmental May be in proximity of pallet jacks and other inventory transport equipment on occasion, so must be aware of surroundings. Working in proximity of printing and binding equipment, and electrical outlets. Physical M-Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work. Psychological Frequent contact with others. Must be able to coordinate activities. Must be able to interact with the vendor community and internal customers .Frequent use of electronic mail and face-to-face discussions. Frequent telephone conversations with internal customers. Physical presence onsite is essential. Hearing and vision must be normal or corrected to within normal range. Able to perform the duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
