Position Responsibilities * Provides leadership to nursing personnel * Maintains accurate and complete resident medical record documentation * Accurately prepares and administers medications and treatments to assigned residents according to physician orders and nursing procedures * Completes incident reports and medication error reports and reports to the Charge Nurse * Participates in shift report and assists in organizing care assignments * Provides assistance and supervision to the Nursing Assistants * Responsible for directing, delivering, and evaluating the quality of care provided by all team members * Responds immediately to emergency situations * Reports any concerns/problems or discrepancies to the Charge Nurse * Participates in providing restorative care for residents * Participates in survey inspections Qualifications: * Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and currently licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Indiana - will accept applicants scheduled to take the Indiana Nursing Board * Desire to work with geriatric population * Long-term care experience preferred * Willingness to work in a team atmosphere * A BIG heart and a BIGGER smile
