We are currently interviewing for a Truck Driver in Wartburg, TN. Bodycote is offering a $1500.00 sign-on retention bonus! Bodycote offers: * 401k with a match * Medical, Dental, and Vision Plans for employees and family Truck Driver Responsibilities * Transport finished goods and raw materials to and from manufacturing plants and distribution centers * Load and unload cargo safely and efficiently * Secure load by using straps * Correct weights are over each axle * Follow all applicable traffic laws * Keep documents of logged deliveries and retain fuel receipts * Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues * Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures * Plan and use the most efficient and safe routes to meet delivery schedules * Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions * Collect and verify delivery instructions * Keep the truck and equipment clean and in good working condition * Report to the supervisor any defects, accidents, or violations * Must be or able to receive a forklift operator license * Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.) * Ability to apply knowledge to deal with contingencies such as: * traffic accidents * vehicle breakdown * health and safety incidents Requirements * Proven work experience as a truck driver * Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and GPS software * Have knowledge of basic computer skills * Ability to drive 4 to 6 hours and travel daily * Knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations * No recent moving or driving violations * Must pass drug and alcohol tests * Must have a clean driving record * Must provide current MVR * Must provide a medical certificate * High school diploma RSRBODY
