JOB SUMMARY: Sycamores is a family services agency dedicated to supporting low-income at-risk youth and adults. As an LVN at Sycamores you will have the opportunity to work alongside psychiatrists and psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners to engage and care for patients diagnosed with mental health disorders. We are seeking a self-motivated LVN with a desire to work with children and teens. Someone who can juggle several tasks and can manage changes quickly. Someone who can work independently on tasks and will support the team needs. STARTING PAY RANGE: $35 - $38 per hour (starting pay will be based on previous work experience and educational background.) SCHEDULE: Various shift hours Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: * Current licensure as a California vocational nurse or psychiatric technician. * Basic training and or experience in medical procedures and administering medication Minimum 1 year experience working with SED children, youth/young adults Maintains all required licenses and certifications preferred. * Valid California Driver License and a driving record acceptable to the Agency's insurance carrier. * Bilingual in Spanish fluency required, WHAT WE OFFER: * Consistent work hours, M-F Weekends, holidays, and evenings off * Ability to work from home a few times per week * Some Travel within LA county and mileage reimbursement * Supportive training and ongoing supervision * Excellent benefits WANT TO KNOW MORE ABOUT OUR TEAM? The Medication Support team is a team of professionals who work together to meet the medication support needs of children, teens and adults receiving therapy at Sycamores. The team consists of program assistants, LVNs, psychiatrists, and psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners. All team members support the care and treatment of the patients being served. The role of the LVN supports the MD/NP in taking vitals, reviewing medications, reviewing side effects and mental health status, ordering tests or lab work, managing court documentation, taking calls from patients, families and pharmacies, and completing electronic records. Medication Support collaborates in multidisciplinary teams often working with Regional Centers, hospitals, courts, and the Department of Children and Family Services.
