The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity as a Service Truck Driver at the Montana State Hospital. The Montana State Hospital (MSH) in Warm Springs provides inpatient psychiatric treatment for adults with serious mental illness. MSH is the only public psychiatric hospital in Montana that serves people admitted from communities across the state. Service Truck Drivers are responsible for transportation duties ensuring that patients are transported to the proper destination, whether on or off MSH campus in a safe and prudent manner. Service Truck Drivers also ensure that all materials and supplies are transported in an expeditious manner so programs requiring these products can function effectively and efficiently. This position may be eligible for a statutory $1.50 an hour base pay increase effective July 1, 2024. Qualifications for this Career Opportunity * Knowledge of state traffic laws and safe operating procedures for motorized vehicles. * Proficient in operating equipment normally used to perform minor vehicle maintenance. * Skilled in the operation of heavy equipment to include but not limited to forklifts, front end loader, tractors and skid steer. * Ability to perform all work tasks in a proper and safe manner following established policies and procedures. * Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. * Ability to follow written and oral instructions explicitly. * Meet minimum qualifications: * High School diploma or equivalent. * Must have a valid Type 1, Class B Montana CDL. * Hazard (H) and Passenger (P) endorsements are preferred. * 3 years of experience operating motor vehicles is preferred.
