Job Description:

Description The Dougherty County Public Works department has two vacancies for a Truck Driver. Essential Tasks Employee in this position is responsible for, but not limited to: operating trucks, back hoes, front end loaders, flatbed trucks, and dump trucks; transporting construction and demolition materials to and from work sites; maintaining logs of work, content of delivery, destination of loads, and amount of time used; performing pre-trip vehicle inspection and preventive maintenance; and following all safety standards developed by the County. Minimum Qualification High school diploma or GED with (1) one year of specialized advanced training in truck driving or closely related field. Must have one (1) year of experience in the operation of vehicles and equipment such as trucks, back hoes, front end loaders, flatbed trucks, and dump trucks; or any other related combination of education, training, and experience which would provide the knowledge, skill, and ability to perform duties of this position. Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia Commercial Driver's License.
