Job Summary + The Licensed Practical Nurse in the Dialysis Unit assists with providing hemodialysis treatments for assigned patients utilizing the nursing process within the scope of practice for an LPN. + Performs all duties and responsibilities in such a way as to demonstrate and support the hospital's Catholic and Benedictine heritage and Avera's values of hospitality, compassion and stewardship. + Provides care/service in accordance with regulatory and accrediting agencies standards and Catholic Religious Directives. Education and/or Experience + Graduate of a licensed practical nursing curriculum or its equivalent is preferred. + Prefer 6-12 months experience on Med-Surg Unit. + 6 months-1 year of experience is preferred. Licensure/Certification/Registration + Must have current LPN licensure in the state of SD or "multi-state privilege" to practice in SD if residing in a compact state outside of SD + BLS certification within 60 days of hire Work Schedule + Day shifts; 72 hours every 2 weeks + 4:30 am - 5:00 pm, 5:00 am - 3:30 pm + Every 3rd weekend (Every 3rd Saturday. Sundays off) + Occasional holiday (Two holidays/year are required) + Occasional call time Pay The hourly range for this position is listed below.
