Job Description:

Our team in East Point currently has an opening for a Class A Truck Driver YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES * Loading and/or unloading of bulk, drummed, or bagged material * LTL Interplant Trailer Movement & Branch Transfers * Follow all operating procedures, and work instructions * Performs all duties in a safe manner and follow all rules and regulation * Completes all training as required in the Regulatory/Compliance Training Program * Properly use materials such as labels, placards, stenciling and paint * Properly cares for and uses all equipment such as forklifts, drum handling equipment, pumps, hoses, etc. Responsible to the facility Dispatch Supervisor for the safe, efficient, and legal operation of company vehicles and the transporting of materials. Operate and maintain the vehicle and transport such goods in full compliance with all applicable Federal, State and local regulations and statutes, as well as, within Company policies and procedures, ISO quality system, and Customer requirements. Each driver is required to meet all of the requirements of Part 391 of Title 49 DOT regulations "Qualifications of Drivers," prior to and during his employment with Brenntag Southeast, Inc. The driver will maintain cordial relationships with both internal and external sources in the best interest of the Company and work to protect the public and environment Within the limits of the Company policies, and in compliance with all government regulations, the Driver is responsible for and has commensurate authority to accomplish the fulfillment of the following Driver Objectives. YOUR PROFILE Education and Experience: * High School Diploma or GED * Driving Hazmat, Tanker, LTL, or Bulk loads in the local area * Ability to load and unload Hazardous Material * Hazmat and Tanker endorsements Required * Current Class A CDL with a Medical Card Required * A minimum of 1 year Liquid Bulk Hauling Experience (recommended) * A minimum of 3 years truck driving experience (recommended) * Comfortable with the use of a Forklift, and general warehouse duties * Knowledge of DOT load securement regulations * Clean driving record * Certification from Accredited Commercial Driving Academy (not required) * Secure dual sign off before transferring any product from one vessel to another Minimum Age -- 25 years of age. Experience -Two to Three years OTR experience requested Skills-- Capable of operating assigned vehicle. Successful completion of Federal, State, and Local regulatory and Company training. Capable of lifting 100 Pounds Minimum Education - High School Graduate or equivalent.
