Job Summary: Box Truck Drivers provide exceptional customer service to our commercial, store, and donation site customers through the timely pickup and delivery of quality donated goods and other materials utilizing commercial box trucks. Responsibilities: * Provides internal and external customer service on behalf of Goodwill of Southern Nevada, drives with safety and courtesy to others by following Federal/State traffic laws, Company safety policies, and positively represents Goodwill of Southern Nevada to the public at large. * Work with others as part of a team. * Transport loads safety to and from designated locations in a timely fashion. * Proper clean-up of donations sites by the pickup of larger donated items on a designated sweep route or as assigned. * Service Goodwill stores by timely delivery of product and /or picking up return items, including delivery of Special Projects priced goods and picking up/returning blue bins and Z-Racks. * Service bin donation sites by swapping full bins with empty bins and picking up overflow and larger furniture items. * Service commercial donors, home donors, and charity partners by picking up donations or swapping bins along assigned routes or assigned individually. * Effectively communicate with dispatcher, dock leads and supervisor, store management and handlers, and Goodwill Management. * Responsible for loading and unloading trucks at assigned locations * Unload sweep and trash manually at Western Elite or Apex as required. (This is physically demanding work requiring heavy lifting and pushing objects in excess of 100 lbs.) * Maintain excellent attendance. * Timely and accurate completion and turn-in of all related paperwork. * Follow schedules as assigned by Transportation Management. (All Goodwill Box Truck Drivers must be able to work any assigned shift with 5 days' notice taking approved time off into consideration) * Will assist within assigned Warehouse by loading/unloading product and moving product around the warehouse when not fulfilling Driver role, as designated by management. * Follow all safety policies and team member policies as outlined in the Goodwill Guidebook and Safety Manual. * Safely operate and maintain agency vehicles. * Perform truck safety inspections at the beginning, during, and end of each shift. * Keep truck interior and exterior clean and neat. * Inspect and secure loads prior to transport. * Immediately report emergent maintenance or safety issues to dispatcher or supervisor on duty. * Assists in any other projects as determined by management. * Ensure compliance with all Goodwill of Southern Nevada (GWSN) policies provided in the Team Member Goodwill Guidebook, Goodwill Industries International standards, and safety and security regulations. * Adhere to all GWSN Manuals, handbooks, policies and procedures. Qualifications: * Two-year minimum truck driving experience preferred. * Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid Class C or higher Nevada Driving License. * Must provide personal, DMV driving history printout that is current through the last 3-years. * Must have 3 years minimum of driving in the United States with at least one year in Las Vegas area. * Must pass GSN road test. * Must have experience in safely operating a pallet-jack, and dolly. * Must be able to perform full range of physical demands to efficiently and successfully complete position responsibilities. * Must be able to perform duties with minimal supervision and function independently in a work setting. * Must be able to maintain open availability regarding scheduling based upon the needs of the company. * Must be fluent in English; bilingual a plus. * Must exhibit a high level of integrity and business ethics. * Requires a high level of adaptability and flexibility. * No record or disclosure of criminal conviction within 7 years from date of application that indicates a tendency towards theft, violence, dishonesty, deceit, drug manufacture or sale, moral turpitude, or predatory behavior. * Must provide proof of identification and eligibility to work in the United States of America. Environmental Factors: 100% of duties performed in and around a truck, a warehouse, Goodwill retail store, commercial partner businesses, landfill site, outside, in and around the cities of Las Vegas and Pahrump. Depending on work location, temperatures may be unregulated. Majority of the work is conducted in the outdoors with very limited environmental controls, to include exposure to extreme heat, cold, and dust. Physical Factors: Lift/Carry: Heavy to 100+ pounds.
