FS Companies are committed to ensuring the continued profitability for the company, their owners, and their customers, while enacting to help the environment and greater good. _ *SUMMARY:*_ Drives truck or automobile through designated trade area to sell, deliver and render services of liquid propane. _ *ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*_ include the following. Other duties may be assigned Drives LP Bobtail truck to deliver liquid propane to customer's homes and places of business. Collect money from customers, makes change and records transactions on computer generated tickets. Writes customer orders and instructions and carries out customer orders according to instructions taken or as dictated by office personnel. Records sales or detailed information about deliveries on daily sales or delivery reports recorded by computer. Completes a weekly sales/inventory report on the computer to be processed by the Galesburg office. Sends bulk plant tank readings by email, text or phone call to the Energy Field Office in Macomb on a daily basis or as requested. Communicates inventory level and location with a call/text to the appropriate person when product re-order is needed. Strives to perform the delivery functions of the propane salesman in an efficient manner to achieve the highest volume of LP Gas delivered per mile driven and/or make sales calls in a reasonably efficient pattern or program Obtains the appropriate signature(s) and critical customer information required for billing, on delivery or work order documents. Prepares order forms and completed sales contracts with signatures as directed. Develop a prospect list yearly and call on identified prospects to earn their business. Communicate these prospects with the Energy Marketing Manager to track New Business utilizing the TSP program. Schedule time and make appointments to call on targeted accounts with sales manager & or Growmark personnel during slower delivery time periods. Participates in and attends all sales & technology training meetings or webinars required by West Central FS & Growmark. Work closely with the company credit manager. Salesman is responsible for insuring their accounts stay within the terms of the Company credit policy and not sell to anyone that is currently beyond the terms. New accounts must be approved for credit by the Company credit manager before any sales are made. Salesman is responsible for informing regular customers of new products or services offered by the Company. Salesman is to inform customers of changing and pending regulations impacting their operation and the resulting requirements of the customer/operator. Salesman is to prepare the appropriate forms, certificates, applications as necessary for the registration of patron tanks/ facilities as required to ensure compliance of applicable State & Federal Laws. Salesman is responsible to listen, take notes and to resolve service issues and/or complaints. Resolution of issues or complaints that involve price adjustment or credits must be approved by the Marketing Manager or Department Manager. Set up or assist with LP Gas systems in the assigned patron territory and performs the needed repairs on existing systems as necessary. Salesman is expected to seek out and identify prospect leads for sales in other product lines and relay these prospects to the Energy Marketing Manager. Sets up merchandise & sales promotion displays or provide sale promotion materials to customers as directed by Marketing Manager. Maintains storage facilities where inventory items are warehoused to maintain product appearance, arrangement and availability; by using or selling inventory on a first in/first out basis. Salesman is responsible for maintaining a clean and professional appearance of the truck(s) assigned to them. Maintain the outward appearance of the bulk plant by keeping weeds, junk and any trash picked up and disposed at their assigned facilities. Informs Operations Manager of any mechanical issues, such as, but not limited to, valve fittings or gaskets that are leaking at bulk plant on tanks or piping and issues with the truck(s) assigned to them. Performs routine maintenance on truck and track the required inspections of the truck & tank per the operations policy and/or as required to be in compliance of all Local, State and Federal Laws. Work with other WCFS Salespersons while performing the essentials duties of the job in an effort to efficiently provide the products and services of the LP Department to our customers and prospects. Salesman is expected to portray a professional image to the public at all times. _ *SALES TERRITORY*_ Territory to include the following townships in Bald Bluff, Biggsville, Carmen, Gladstone, Lomax, Media, Oquawka, Raritan, Rozetta, Stronghurst, Terre Haute Townships in Warren County TBD. Territory will follow accounts assigned and served by the previous Salesman. Substitutions or Account trading will only occur at the approval of the Energy Dept Mgr. Management reserves the right to re-map a Salesman's territory to facilitate route efficiency, scope and/or to establish a manageable volume. _ *QUALIFICATIONS *_ To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. LP Salesman is required to attend training and achieve CETP Certification in the Basic Principles and Practices and Propane Delivery. Salesman must possess or develop the ability to operate a computer to generate billing tickets, run reports, and input data into spreadsheets or computer applications for asset tracking and Industry Compliance Standards. Must be willing to develop other job-related skills to perform or assist in other job-related tasks. _ *LANGUAGE SKILLS*_ Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or job-related bulletins or regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. _ *MATHEMATICAL SKILLS*_ Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. _ *REASONING ABILITY*_ Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to develop solutions and/or deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. _ *CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS*_ Must have or obtain and maintain the appropriate Commercial Driver's License to operate a tank wagon propane delivery truck with the required endorsements. _ *PHYSICAL DEMANDS *_ The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
