Overview Operating lowboy, flatbed, and occasionally dump trucks to deliver Paving and other heavy equipment and materials to various job sites throughout the Washington Metropolitan Area. Responsible for the safe transport of all equipment/materials, loading/unloading, and securing equipment to trailer. Also responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and service ability of assigned vehicles. Responsibilities Drives truck to deliver equipment and/or materials to and from specified locations Positions chains, straps, and binders to secure load during transit Load and unload equipment on lowboy trailers Strong work ethic and commitment to Safety and Quality Good customer service and communication skills Maintains a good attitude towards work Maintains logs and records in compliance with DOT regulations Maintains and checks truck, trailer, and supplies to ensure roadworthiness Notifies Supervisor of needed/anticipated repairs and/or service of vehicle Willingness to work any shift based on the needs of the job Various other duties as assigned Qualifications Valid Class A CDL and satisfactory driving record Familiar with lowboy, flatbed, dump truck and other equipment and/or material hauling methods History of working with different forms of heavy equipment. Specifically paving equipment At least 1 year of previous experience hauling heavy equipment
