You will have an opportunity to be recognized for your talent and expertise while contributing to the success of key strategic initiatives in support of our Mission " To improve lives by providing clarity around cannabis and confidence around consumption ."The Director of Sales will be responsible for leading the sales team in New Jersey and ensuring strategic goals are met and exceeded. They will oversee the Curaleaf brand portfolio, including America's #1 selling cannabis brand, Select and it's portfolio of vaporizers, drops, edibles and CBD products. This will include the building and maintenance of customer / dispensary relationships, new business development, hiring and training of the sales team, management of sales activities, trade shows, promotions, influence on pricing and participation in market research that will lead to the launch of new / innovative products in our Curaleaf brand portfolio and working cross-functionally with Brand, Marketing, Field Brand, Operations, Distribution and Finance. We are looking for someone that has a proven commitment to the cannabis industry by keeping up to date with industry trends and laws. This position will work collaboratively with company leadership, industry partners, sales representatives, operations, and marketing to accelerate revenue growth. Essential Functions (included, but not limited to) Develop and articulate a strategic and comprehensive business plan for the assigned territory and manage all sales activities for this territory Manage a high-performing sales team; support and cultivate the development and growth of the team in a fast-paced, quickly evolving environment Set sales KPIs and Metrics/Quotas and train/coach team members on that strategy Manage California sales revenue; forecast and deliver on regular monthly revenue targets Conduct regularly scheduled reviews with the sales team to discuss account reports, new opportunities, customer issues, competition, industry updates, new product information Create Go-To Market plan for product launches (1-2 per quarter) Establish budget, selling prices and approve deviations Develop leads into opportunities by nurturing relationships, understanding client problems, involving the correct decision makers, and helping clients understand the Curaleaf brand offering Respond swiftly and effectively to internal and external crises to assure satisfactory resolution; manage bad payers and collecting AR from past due customers Maximize sales by improving customer payments to HERBL Work with Select and HERBL accounting teams to manage chargeback process reconciliation Create distributor reports, and other system generated reports (Salesforce, NAV) Manage commission reporting for the entire team Work closely as a partner with buying and operations on Select and HERBL teams to deliver upon customer demands Collaborate with National Director of FBRs to drive sell-through at retail Engage Field and Brand Marketing teams on local and customer- specific campaigns and co-marketing initiatives and partner on CA-specific activations Lead and attend meetings with Finance, Marketing, Sales Leaders, FBR team, and staff 1:1s Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree At least 5 years of sales experience + 3 years of experience at a management level History of setting and driving strategic sales initiatives Experience managing a successful high-performing sales team in a large market Experience with distributor management preferred Experience in the cannabis industry preferred CPG sales experience preferred Ability for local travel, 20% Current and valid driver's license with a clean driving record Subject to background check per state cannabis regulations Competencies: Team player- ability to work seamlessly with multiple internal and external partners Ability to adapt and prosper in an ever changing / competitive atmosphere Strong problem-solving and analytical skills- able to create and discuss reports Strong negotiation skills Excellent oral and written communication skills Excellent customer service skills Passion for delivering value to the customer Curaleaf is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
