Work with the largest care delivery organization in the world and start doing your lifes best work.(sm)Primary Responsibilities:Registration for all assigned designated locationsAll Registration claim edits in Claim Edit tab Work Queues on your assigned job description. Notify billing manager and billing director of new master error file issues. (Claims stuck)Ensure errors are properly marked in the Charge Review work ques.Effectively collect data from parent and/or hospital (confirming names for pediatric patients) to ensure proper accuracy of claims. Send sheets to charge entry supervisor and billing manager to show request sentManage all envelopes that are registering on monthly registration log sheet and for all registered hospital patientsEnsure registration is received on a weekly basisDistribute envelopes to charge entry team responsible for entering those chargesVerify accuracy for all registration thru e-verify, or by manually checking Navinet or EmdeonEnsure guarantor information is accurateUpdate account and insurance information as neededEmail progress of work daily to management including billing director, billing manager and charge entry supervisor to include (total number of patients registered, offices names, and dates)Ensure the completion of MRNs biweekly listsAll other duties as assignedYoull be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:1-2+ years of working in Billing/Revenue CycleFunctional knowledge of insurance verificationIn-depth knowledge of medical terminologyYou will be asked to perform this role in an office setting or other company locationEmployees are required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener prior to entering the work site each day, in order to keep our work sites safe. Employees must comply with any state and local masking orders. In addition, when in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are expected to wear a mask in areas where physical distancing cannot be attained.Preferred Qualifications:Bachelors degree in related fieldProficient in computer- Epic systems knowledgeProficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, & Excel)Ability to use a fax machine, calculators, printers, copiers, various computer programs, optical scanners, and credit card machineCareers with Optum.
