"Full TimeDays Summary:The CVRU RN I is accountable for the delivery of safe patient care in the CVRU, utilizing the nursing process. The CVRU RN assesses plans, delivers, coordinates, integrates, and evaluates nursing care related to patient needs in the operative suite. The CVRU RN contributes to the support of patients through interdisciplinary teamwork and assures that the care provided is consistent with applicable standards, regulations, statutes and state and federal law. Education:Essential:* Nursing Diploma Education equivalent experience:Essential:* Graduation from an accredited Baccalaureate, Associate, or Diploma Professional Nursing program is required. Other information:Education/Qualifications:Graduation from an accredited Baccalaureate, Associate, or Diploma Professional Nursing program is required. Experience: New graduate or less than 1 year experience as an RNExperience in Critical Care or PACU or CVRU nursing preferred. Licensure/Certificates: Current NYS licensure and registration as a Registered Professional NurseCurrent BLS certification is requiredCurrent ACLS certification required within 6 months from date of hire Skills: Ability to assess patient status and take appropriate action is required.Ability to multi-task effectively in a rapidly changing environment.Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, patients, families, visitors, and professionals.
