Manual Machinist / Bender - Job Description We are look for technically skilled candidates with good attention to detail for the position of Manual Machinist / Bender. Manual Machinist / Bender are responsible for adhering to a production schedule, ensuring that all parts are properly fitted, aligned and secured and ensuring that safety standards are always met, among other dutiesEssential Responsibilities:Use manual mill, lathe, cold saw, benders, drill pressachine parts to spec as per part sheetsUtilizes precision measuring instruments to inspect partsMaking cutting lines on materialsAbility to use precision tools (e.g. caliper) to take accurate measurementsTroubleshooting and stress testing products to minimize problems or recallsReporting and detailing product malfunctionsKnowledge and ability to follow the MDR scrap material process.Cleans work area, machines, and equipment.Operate saw, pipe bender, Hydraulic tapping armOperate lathe machines – knows how to create threading, grooving, CNC millingWeldingEnsure workpiece is properly lubricated and/or cooledCNC machine knowledgeMonitor the accuracy of cutsCompletes all quality control checks to insure that all products meet quality standard and are within tolerances specifiedMulti-skilled in different operations (fabrication, machining, inspection, etc.)Follow and promote safe work practicesReliably meet or exceed estimated production timesMust be proficient in working with bronze and brassKeep work area orderly and safeCleans parts as requiredExperience in manufacturing environment, particularly with machine operation Qualifications:Over 1 year up to and including 3 years work experience in fabrication in a manufacturing environmentMust be able to perform basic mathematics, read and understand drawings and specificationsMust be willing to learn to operate/ program CNC pipe cutting equipment.Must be a team player Must be able to communicate effectively and work in a cooperative manner to support a positive team environmentEngage in active dialogue with project managers and project leads to ensure quality control standards of all unique projects are being met.
