OverviewHR ManagerManage the Stuarts Draft, VA human resources department, overseeing administration of hiring, retention, termination, personnel records, legal compliance, hourly compensation, benefits, long term staffing strategies training and development.ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities:Manage Human Resources activities to provide resources and support to management and associates in the Stuarts Draft, VA vinyl siding manufacturing plant, ensuring positive associate relations at all times.Recruit and present for hire, qualified applicants for open positions as required, to keep a steady and efficient workforce in the manufacturing plant.Promotes safety in the workplace, coordinates safety awareness and improvement programs with EHS Manager or appropriate safety representative.Administer associate performance evaluation systems, incentives, and other performance related recognition programs, as appropriate.Ensure the plant is properly administering processes associated with payroll and benefits with Ply Gem representatives. Oversee the preparation of weekly time reporting to Corporate Payroll and ensure timelines and accuracy of reporting.Administers company policies and procedures in a fair and consistent manner, in accordance with Corporate established guidelines.Provide leadership role in addressing matters regarding associate safety and welfare, and provide associate counseling, direction and advice in disciplinary and development situations, as required. Ensures that the Basic Principles or appropriate guidelines are followed and utilized by Managers during coaching and counseling sessions.Performs other duties as assigned.QualificationsA successful HR Manager will have: EducationBachelors degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Management, or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.ExperienceMinimum of five years progressive Human Resources experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.Skills/AbilitiesHighly developed verbal and written communication skills required. Proficiency with personal computers with ability to analyze data and present clear and concise reports required. Some training background with ability to present generic training programs required. One must be experienced with associate relations, staffing, recruiting, safety/workers compensation, training, disciplinary actions, etc. Must have experience in developing and administering various HR policies.OtherSome travel required.Job ID2019-3548Positions1
