Apply Now!Please see dealer for Sign On Bonus details and eligibilityResponsibilities and QualificationsThe Service Technician has the responsibility of understanding and completing routine repairs on these "technologically brillant" vehicles. This individual will perform general and most diagnostic repairs with little or no assistance, have prior training and a majority of their manufacturer certifications, and continuously expand on BMW technology, product knowledge, and best practices.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform repairs including but not limited to: All levels of preventative and routine maintenance servicesLight engine workTransmissionsClutchesDrive shaftsElectrical systems (starters and alternators), HVAC systems, steering and suspension systemsMake accurate use of the multi-point inspection form on each vehicleDocument all work performed and recommended on assigned repair orderCommunicate with service advisors when additional work is needed or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised timeMaintain technician proficiency as specified by Asbury standardsConduct road tests to determine work needed and to confirm work was successfully completed when necessary and practicalUtilize product and technical training as assigned by the manufacturer and managementParticipate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs and schools to continuously expand your knowledge of new technologyMaintain manufacturer (CSI) Customer Satisfaction Index at or above the Asbury specified goal(s) in service for district, regional, and national scoresComplete the work, notations and time-keeping necessary to the successful completion of warranty repair orders and the filing of warranty claimsReport to management any situation or condition that would jeopardize the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, its customers or employeesTake care to ensure that customer s vehicles are returned to them as clean as they were prior to being servicedUnderstand and complete required training for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-KnowComply with all federal, state and local laws, as well as company policy, regarding safeguarding all customer vehicles, property and informationExperience and SkillsMust have a positive "can do" attitude and "fix it right the first time" mentalityMust be a team player and have the ability to work repetitively on complex tasksMust have great technical and mechanical skillsPrevious automotive technician experience requiredActive ASE certifications and BMW training preferredAutomotive Technology degree preferredPrevious European automotive technician experience is a PLUSMust have basic toolsMust be at least eighteen years of ageMust have a valid driver s licenseMust be able to pass pre-employment background check and drug screeningTotal RewardsIn order for you to be your best for our customers, you have to be healthy, financially-secure and continue to develop your skills and expand your knowledge.
