The role will perform complex statistical analysis to understand and report division capabilities for product attributes. The quality engineer will collaborate with others across the division to provide data analysis for business strategy and decision-making processes internally, as well as supporting customer interactions. The role will also evaluate division wide performance to metrics and support improvement efforts through project leadership for critical division wide efforts. Key Responsibilities:Manage the division wide PQA program; includes setting and executing division strategy and roadmap, leadership of division community of practice, team member of key business projects, reporting metric resultsPerform complex statistical analysis for internal or external useProvide recommendations and tools for analysis to support division wide standard practicesApply technical problem-solving skills to complex situationsPartner with plant and division engineering teams to determine root cause of technical challengesMeasure progress to the objectives in the roadmap; initiate corrective actions to achieve high performance/stretch goalsDevelop the division wide product capability reviewsLead division level projects to support critical quality initiatives Drive Continuous Improvement:Define and implement PQA metrics in the division vital fewDeploy continuous improvement methodologies to target problem resolution, including DMAIC, Lean, PQA, Manufacturing Engineering Excellence, Error proofing, as needed.Lead, participate or sponsor project teams to drive improvement in division objectives.Provide coaching and/or facilitation of methods and tools or establishment of metrics.Identify and transfer best practices throughout the division or across divisions. Advance Quality in the Market:Utilize competitive analysis to assess internal capabilities and integrate into division roadmap, to position our products and quality performance as a competitive advantage.Collaborate with innovation, commercial, technology to drive PQA application towards a quality competitive advantage.Report PQA metrics, and provide key input in the development of roadmaps for implementation/improvement of key elements. Provide updates to business leadership and Corporate Quality.Build an effective network including Engineering, Manufacturing, Commercial, Product Engineering, Division Quality, Global Supply Management, and Regulatory Affairs.Advocate Quality practices and requirements to all departments and functions. Travel Requirements: Some travel should be expected domestic and international, dependent on project assignments and reviews. Typical travel is ~ 4 weeks per year to domestic and international partner sites. Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time: 40 plus hours, off hours is possible to support projects, meeting schedules and business calls in international time zones.
