This position will oversee multiple locations throughout the Portland Metro area. Candidate must reside in either Oregon or Washington.We are looking for a senior leader with oncology experience, which includes program growth, development of services departments, clinics support services and some knowledge of how all the components work together to support the patient’s journey. Experience with Cancer Accreditations, such as American College of Surgeons, Commission on Cancer (ACoS, CoC), National Association of Breast Programs (NAPBC), American College of Radiation Oncology (ACR) etc. is preferred. Incumbent will be responsible for co-management with our OHSU collaborative partners, Community Hematology Oncology, Infusion and Rad Onc, and Bone Marrow Transplant programs. In total, the oncology program has seven accreditations every 3 years. Our Director will also be responsible for the Hospice program which services patients in the home, facility, or wherever the patient calls home across seven counties in Oregon. A candidate with operational experience for hospital based integrated oncology programs and services within a cancer integrated network across multiple hospitals is strongly preferred.As the largest nonprofit health system serving the Portland-Southwest Washington and mid-Willamette Valley areas, Legacy Health provides a range of services - we have six hospitals, one of which includes a center solely dedicated to children’s care - Randall Children’s Hospital at Legacy Emanuel. We run more than 70 primary care, specialty and urgent care clinics, employ nearly 3,000 doctors and providers and more than 13,000 employees. We also operate labs and a research center. Our major partnerships include those with PacificSource Health Plans and the Unity Center for Behavioral Health, a one-of-a-kind center for people facing a mental health crisis that is collaboratively operated between four regional health systems and numerous community partners.Responsibilities:The Director of the Cancer Service Line, in partnership with the cancer service line physician director, will be charged with providing overall direction; goal setting; and input to key strategic, clinical, and operational issues facing the cancer service line. Scope of responsibility includes oversight of oncology and hospice service line operations and LMG oncology clinics to ensure alignment with the strategic and operational direction of the cancer service line. The Director of the Cancer Service Line also co-manages the OHSU-Legacy cancer collaborative.
