Our psychiatric hospital provides a safe environment staffed by caring and highly educated mental health professionals where we support an atmosphere and a person-centered treatment program that promotes stabilization and healing.If you are a team player, reliable, provide great customer service and enjoy helping others, please see our open opportunities:Houston Behavioral Healthcare Hospital is currently recruiting for a full-time Dietitian (RDN), Monday-Friday, possible weekends, 8am-5pm. .The clinical dietitian is responsible for providing quality nutritional care for patients by monitoring their current health conditions, advising nutritional and dietary supplements to maintain their healthy lifestyle, and speed up their recovery process.Daily duties include:Essential Duties:Evaluates and assesses nutrition status of patients, and screens patients for nutritional risk in accordance with established department protocols and standardsPlans and initiates medical nutrition therapy to patients if indicated by patient requirements and clinical protocolCertifies patients for specific program benefitsEducates and counsels patients and families on nutritional issues, either individually or in groupsCommunicates individual nutritional care plans to other health care providers as a member of a health care teamMonitors store participation; identifies and resolves problems between stores and patientsOrders and maintains inventory of program supplies, including patient checks, for all clinicsPerforms various administrative duties related to public health nutrition programsMaintains professional growth and development through completion of required departmental competenciesPerforms miscellaneous job-related duties as assignedRequirementsBachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or an equivalent field required.Certification/Licensure State of TX Licensed Dietitian (LD) or Licensed Nutritionist (LN) or ADA Registered Dietician (RD).Knowledge Skills And AbilitiesAbility to develop and deliver presentationsAbility to effectively communicate medical information, test results, diagnoses and/or proposed treatment in a manner easily understood by the clientKnowledge of clinical nutrition theory and practiceKnowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering and inventory control.0Knowledge of sponsored nutritional programs and patient certification requirementsAbility to draw conclusions and make recommendations based on research data and findingsAbility to resolve interpersonal problems, disputes and issuesReliable and on time.
