Job Description:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for engineering projects as assigned by the VP of Engineering. In order to be successful, this candidate should feel comfortable "wearing many hats," as you may be involved in design, fabrication troubleshooting, communication with shop personnel, internal/special projects, data/reporting, etc.Learn more about the general tasks related to this opportunity below, as well as required skills.ResponsibilitiesGenerate production drawings (2 and 3 D modeling)Assist shop floor with minor to major projects, problem solving, design changes, etc.Provide product development support as neededCreates initial design layouts and concepts for review and customer approvalTechnical support and assistance for customers and/or Parts & Service Repair DesignPartake in crucial projects for machine design, testing, re-configuration based on issue that is being solvedAbility to work with mathematical concepts such as fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situationsQualificationsBachelor's in ME or similar discipline3+ YOE in a product development, design, or project engineering role3D modeling or design experience (Inventor or AutoCAD preferred)Ability to take on specialty projects without being asked/being on the shop floor and understand internal processSome kind of new product development/product design experienceProcess improvement experience and mindset
