Senior Network Engineer with expertise in Networking who will be responsible for implementing highly scalable solutions on the Microsoft Azure Public Cloud and On-Premises environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our organization's network architecture to ensure optimal performance, security, and scalability. You can get further details about the nature of this opening, and what is expected from applicants, by reading the below.The Day to Day:Oversee the planning and execution of network projects, provide technical leadership to the team, and collaborate with cross-functional departments to meet business objectives.Plan, implement and troubleshoot enterprise multi-site Aruba campus wireless network, remote-access, and multi-tenant environment.Analyze functional requirements to create a network design and implementation plan.Configure and validate Aruba WLAN secure employee and guest solutions.Manage and monitor Aruba solutions.Support the deployment of network access control (NAC) using 802.1X with Cisco ISE/ Aruba ClearpassDesign, implement, and manage complex network solutions to support business operations.Responsible for safeguarding an organization's computer systems and networks from security breaches, cyber threats, and vulnerabilities.Lead network architecture planning, including hardware and software upgrades.Provide technical expertise in troubleshooting network issues and implementing solutions.Collaborate with IT teams to ensure network security measures are in place.Conduct regular network performance monitoring and optimization.Mentor and train junior network engineers to enhance team capabilities.Evaluate new technologies and make recommendations for network improvements.Develop and maintain network documentation for reference and compliance purposes.Position Requirements-What we are really looking for:Proven experience as a Senior Network Engineer or similar role in a large-scale environment. Experience in the planning, design, deployment and support of LAN/WAN/ and IP architectures. In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, hardware, and software solutions including deploying network services and protocols such as TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, LAN Switching Technologies, Next-Gen Firewalls (Fortinet preferred), and Load Balancing (F5 preferred), etc.Deep understanding of WLAN technologies, network management including IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax WLAN standards and industry best practices.Expert level understanding of site survey, predictive design and post design validation using Ekahau AI Pro, and Ekahau Sidekick.Intimate knowledge of building construction, RF behavioral characteristics and current hardware vendor limitations to create a design proposal.Expert level understanding of various antenna types, their uses, and demeritsProvide tier-3 operational support for Wireless LAN Controllers, resolve critical business issues that require deep wireless network troubleshooting techniques and performance analysis Independently own the Wireless Network Infrastructure support solving complex issues and suggest design modifications as appropriate. Extensive experience in traditional route/switch, Wireless technologies, VPN, SSL, DNS, DHCP, and ISE.Conduct network security assessments & recommend remediation actions. Hands-on experience with network security.Design and maintain security controls for network infrastructure. Enhance security monitoring and detection systems to identify abnormal behavior.Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead projects and teams effectively.Experience utilizing a public cloud solution (Azure, AWS, GCP)Prior experience working with industry network tools: monitoring (Splunk, NetScout, Zabbix), management (Prime, ISE, Aruba Central), inventory management (Netbox, IPAM), and DNS solutions.Scripting experience with scripting languages (python, GO, PowerShell) and tools (versioning, GitHub) as well as experience utilizing REST APIs, JSON, and YAML.Experience with multiple hardware/software platforms such as:CiscoFortinetF5NetScoutStrong teamwork skills, ability to learn quickly, excellent written and spoken communication.Experience working with Agile methodologies.Monitor and Troubleshoot network performance and integrity. Resolve escalated issues by troubleshooting both cloud and local infrastructure.Automate tasks and assess their effectiveness. Education and/or Experience:4+ years of network architecture design and/or solution engineering2+ years of network design or administration involving cloud infrastructure [AWS, Azure, Google, etc.]2+ years of scripting or coding experience with one or more languages8+ years of relevant IT experience in large/complex IT architecture environments4+ Hand on Experience of working on Aruba Wireless Technologies4-year degree in IT related course of studyPreferred Professional certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, Aruba Certified Mobility Expert (ACMX) etc.).Work Location and Arrangement: This role can be based out of the Richmond, VA Technology Innovation Center or Plano, TX and have a Hybrid work arrangement.Work Authorization: Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
