Service Technicians also work regularly with customers both remotely and on premises to support various existing home and office technologies including audio, video, network, IT and security systems.Responsibilities:Perform on-site installation of new or replacement audio, video, and security equipment at customer home and office locations per design or bid specifications.Install and maintain various network and computer hardware components and software systems to support highly reliable home and office networks.Provide remote customer support via email, phone, and online trouble ticket systems to assist with customer questions, problems, or requests.Monitor customers' system performance and create and track customer support tickets to notify customers of various system failures, outages, or service degradations.Collaborate with customers and other internal and external stakeholders to assess the efficiency and functionality of new and existing technology systems.Research and attend training on new technology solutions as well as test new hardware and software to support constantly changing customer technology needs.Ensure that customer and internal company systems and policies are secure and compliant with relevant regulation standards, and maintain customer privacy.Document installations, designs, and processes for ongoing support and knowledge transfer to customers and other employees.Necessary Skills & Qualifications:3+ years of experience installing audio, video, and network equipmentFamiliarity with IP networking components and technologiesWorking knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, and related softwareStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong attention to detailAbility to work effectively under pressureDesire to learn new skills and adapt to new technologiesAbility to climb ladders with tools or other objectsAbility to work independently and as a part of a teamAbility to regularly lift or move heavy items (40+ pounds)High school diploma or equivalentNote: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
