Job Description:

SUMMARYThe Production and Service Technician will be responsible for the assembly, calibration, testing, and maintenance of packaging equipment to ensure that it meets the designed specifications and quality standards. This position requires a strong electro-mechanical aptitude to understand, troubleshoot, and maintain packaging equipment. The Production and Service Technician will be working with and providing detailed technical information to sales, engineering, customer service, and manufacturing teams to aid with product line supportCheck you match the skill requirements for this role, as well as associated experience, then apply with your CV below.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Set-up, assemble, and test products for functionality, efficiency, and quality for equipment orders.Read and interpret production documentation such as electrical schematics, mechanical prints, and process documentation.Troubleshoot mechanical or electrical problems with production equipment, devices, or products if needed.Crating and uncrating of equipment for production orders.Inspect finished products for quality and review equipment check-off lists.Prepare production documents, such as standard operation procedures, and productivity reports.Maintain communication with the service, engineering, and marketing departments for ongoing technical discussions and assistance.Troubleshoot problems with customers.Review and edit equipment user guides for general maintenance topics and part number accuracy.Excellent Customer Service SkillsAbility to travel up to 10% if needed to perform on-site visits for equipment installation, maintenance, and repairs.Look up drawings and information to aid in assembly and service.Basic knowledge of PLC and HMI software systems.Use the business software system to perform routine transactions.Participate in Kaizens and Lean activities.Training others on packaging equipment as needed.QUALIFICATIONS:Technical degree or 3-5 years of equivalent experience.Ability to read, interpret, and troubleshoot issues using equipment electrical schematics.Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of mechanical assemblies.Good written and verbal communication skills and can type adequately.Ability to work independently following general procedures.Ability to handle multiple tasks.Ability to operate general office equipment such as telephone, copier, computer, etc.Must have a positive attitude and be able to work with others.Up to 10% travel in North America.Valid Passport and class D driver's license.WORKING CONDITIONS:Use of skills requiring motor coordination with finger dexterity (e.g. keyboarding, machine operation, etc.) during most of a normal workday.Required to exert physical effort in handling objects up to 50 pounds.May be exposed to a general elevated noise level from machine tools running.May be exposed to be exposed to a physical environment that involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes, and similar elements during most of a portion of the workday.Work location based in Brooklyn Park, MN with occasional travel to Big Lake, MNWE HELP COMPANIES DELIVER PRODUCTS TO THE WORLDEngage Technologies Corporation is the parent company of Squid Ink, Eastey and AFM.
