Role DescriptionThis is a contract role for a PHP Developer at Piedmont Insurance Associates. The PHP Developer will be responsible for back-end web development, object-oriented programming (OOP), front-end development, software development, and programming tasks. This is a hybrid role, with the developer working primarily from home but willing and able to work in office or join in-person mtgs on a semi-regular basis. The hours are flexible and Part Time for now, but could develop into a FT role as customization and innovation is a key part of our growth strategy. QualificationsStrong experience in back-end web development and object-oriented programming (OOP)Proficiency in front-end development and software developmentExcellent programming skillsAttention to detail and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work independently and collaborate with a teamFamiliarity with PHP frameworks and databases (mySQL)Experience developing and debugging WordPress themes and PluginsExperience building and connecting APIsExperience with version control systems (Git)Knowledge of web security best practicesStrong communication and interpersonal skills
