Guided by our core values of closeness, teamwork, diversity, and excellence, our team of 1,000 expert consultants, representing 35 different nationalities, collaborates across 10 international offices: Paris, Lyon, New York, Montreal, London, Brussels, Geneva, Lisbon, Porto and Casablanca.Please make an application promptly if you are a good match for this role due to high levels of interest.Our client, an international investment bank, is looking for a Senior Murex Engineer, to onboard new commodities with Murex (oil and gas).Responsibilities:- Provide expertise in software application support, focusing on Murex platform.- Advise on booking models, product onboarding, and modeling into Murex.- Perform analysis, troubleshooting, and escalate issues as needed.- Collaborate closely with various teams including CM Quants, MOA, and MOE.- Conduct regular training and skills assessments for peers.- Ensure adherence to branch compliance rules.Requirements:- In-depth understanding of US Power and Gas Markets, including trade lifecycle of physical settling trades.- Extensive experience working with Murex as a Business Analyst/Developer.- Proficiency in navigating Murex, configuring booking models, and setting up new products.- Strong grasp of Murex architecture to propose interim and strategic solutions.- Familiarity with Curve setup and static data setup in MXG.- Knowledgeable in risk and valuations within Murex.Murex Skills:- Expertise in various Murex modules including Commodity Physical Forward, Financial Swap, Commodity Futures, etc.- Proficiency in Murex Price Curves Tools and setting up commodity curves.- Experience in configuring commodity swaps, futures, and option models.- Understanding of commodities risk management and hydrocarbons modeling.Other Skills :- Strong interest in global markets business.- Proactive approach and fast learner.- Effective communication skills (both business and technical).- Ability to thrive in a demanding environment with significant business exposure.- Experience interfacing with senior stakeholders across Front Office and control functions.- Prior experience in Financial Markets with a preference for Commodities experience, particularly in oil, natural gas, and power.- Previous experience with onboarding commodities products in Murex, specifically Gas and Power in UK, EU, and/or US financial and physical markets.
