Lead Mechanical Engineer*Direct Hire role with BenefitsAre you the right applicant for this opportunity Find out by reading through the role overview below.Our client makes equipment used for material handling & moving personnel in industrial and warehouse settings / applications.Summary:As a Lead Mechanical Engineer, you will be involved in several aspects of engineering, design, product improvements, manufacturing & process improvements, doc control / PDM management, sizing and selecting components, working with vendors and new product development projects.Key Responsibilities:Design and develop mechanical systems for our equipment lines using SolidWorks and PDM.Lead the sizing and selection of components, working closely with vendors to secure the best materials and parts.Enhance our manufacturing processes through innovative metal fabrication and assembly techniques.Organize and manage the Product Data Management (PDM) system within SolidWorks, ensuring efficient access and storage of design data.Play a key role in new product development projects, from conceptualization to market launch, focusing on advanced solutions to service our clients and the market better. (ex. Equipment for heavy and large load applications, etc.)Solve complex engineering problems, providing hands-on expertise and practical knowledge to achieve project goals.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.5-7 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a firm understanding of manufacturing, metal fabrication, assembly, mechanical assemblies etc..Proficient in SolidWorks - or other 3D Modeling software - and ideally having experienced using a PDM system.Experienced with designing cast products.Willing to work with vendors on sizing and selecting components develop new products and improve reliability of existing product lines.Hands-on, proactive problem solver that is mechanically inclined and understands mechanical assemblies.
