Job Description:

Our client is looking to fill the role of Landman. The primary responsibility of the Landman is to handle an assigned geographical area. The Landman will be responsible for performing and directing land functions including lease acquisitions, title examinations, abstracting, securing of curative, negotiations with landowners and companies, records, payments and drafting and monitoring of oil and gas exploration contracts for an assigned area of responsibility.Please ensure you read the below overview and requirements for this employment opportunity completely.Responsibilities:Manage complex land assignmentsMake recommendations regarding complex agreements, leases, and contractsProvide technical and strategic advice on complex land negotiationsReview of legal and financial obligationsEnsure company drill schedule expectations are met within the assigned territoryManage brokers and attorneys in title and curative matters as appropriateReview AFE's for accuracy and clear title for drilling locationsDue diligence of acquisitions and divestitures Required Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Energy Management, Petroleum Land Management, Business Administration, or related fieldAt least five (5) years of progressive Land experience with at least three (3) of those being in-houseAt least five (5) years of demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office, (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)High-level understanding of Land and exploration and production issuesStrong interpersonal, analytical and communication skills Preferred Qualifications:Member of AAPLExperience with ArcGIS Aptitude to apply strategic thinking skills to identify and evaluate logically and creatively various factors that can have a current and future business impactAbility to operate both independently and as part of a teamPossess a strong attention to detail and flexibility regarding workload and priorities while also maintaining commercial awareness and a broader view of a business situationStrong organizational and time management skillsProven track record of being able to problem solve and think creativelySelf-starter requiring minimal supervisionIf you meet the required qualifications and are interested in this role, please apply today.
