Job Description:

A local company who manufacturers beverages and food products and is experiencing significant growth is searching for a Quality Supervisor to assist with the management and development of technicians, schedules and trends in the Quality Department. This is a robust position that will play a crucial role in the success of the company by ensuring the integrity and consistency of products by overseeing quality assurance processes, managing instrumentation, and leading a team of direct reports. Duties will consist of the following:Managing a team of technicians Scheduling day to day activitiesCoordination with the Production Supervisor for various work initiatives and production goalsManage and maintain instrumentation, including but not limited to, spectrophotometers, pH meters, refractometers, and other analytical equipment used in quality testingConduct routine inspections and audits of manufacturing processes, raw materials, and finished products to identify deviations, defects, or areas for improvementDevelopment and maintaining of work materials such as SOPs and quality records in accordance with industry standardsInvestigate customer complaints and non-conformances, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrenceBelow, you will find a complete breakdown of everything required of potential candidates, as well as how to apply Good luck.In order to be considered for the position, qualified candidates must have the following:Bachelor's degree in food science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or related field required; advanced degree preferredA solid understanding of quality management principlesHands-on experience in food or beverage manufacturing, and expertise in food safety GFSI standards, such as FSSC 22000, Quality Management ISO 9001 or equivalentMinimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance or quality control roles within the food or beverage manufacturing industryStable job history displaying longevity in past positions and growth in roles and responsibilitiesPrior leadership experienceDetail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and data integrity.
