Job Description:

The Production Manager- Perishable Food will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of cheese further processing. They will be responsible for ensuring that all production processes are running smoothly and efficiently and that all products are produced safely and according to specification. This includes managing the supervision and indirectly managing approximately 100 hourly position, 8 production lines and 4 Production Supervisors. Want to make an application Make sure your CV is up to date, then read the following job specs carefully before applying.Key Responsibilities: Oversee the production process and ensure that all products are produced to the highest quality standards Influence and execute production schedules to ensure that all products are delivered on time and within budget Manage and train supervision and production staff to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively Ensure that all production processes are running smoothly and that any issues are addressed in a timely manner Work and maintain rapport with all cross-departmental Operations associates including Quality, Maintenance and Shipping & Receiving Ensure that all production processes are compliant with relevant health and safety regulations Monitor and manage inventory as it relates to production tracking and traceability. Ensures chain of custody through the production process Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Management or Business Administration preferred At least 5 years of experience in a production/operations management role in the food industry Proficient in ERP/MRP. Sage X3 and AS400 a strong plus Strong Safety and Quality background, including OSHA and HACCP Training Metrics-focused, able to provide data to support conclusions Ability to drive high levels of performance through others Strong leadership and management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlinesCompany Profile:Lipari Foods is a regional full-line deli, bakery, packaging, and grocery distributor, headquartered in Warren, MI.
