What we're asking you to do:Lead a diverse portfolio of environmental due diligence and remediation projects.Maintain responsibility for project-level financials and profit/loss.Write and review technical reports and proposals.Hire and manage subcontractors.Mentor and train staff and ensure quality work product.Ensure safe performance of project work.Source for new business opportunities and market yourself and Apex to prospective clients.Qualifications:BA/BS in Environmental Science/Geology/Engineering or other related field. Professional Geologist or Professional Engineer a plus.8 to 15 years of proven technical experience. Proficiency with Illinois EPA regulations, LUST program, and risk-based closure process. Working knowledge of Wisconsin, Indiana, Missouri and surrounding state regulatory frameworks preferred.Experience in SWPPP and SPCC plan developmentKnowledge and experience in Industrial Hygiene regulations (i.e. Asbestos, Lead, Indoor Air Quality)Experience managing project budgetsProficiency with MS Office suite.Willingness to keep up with changing regulations, a desire to learn new things, and a commitment to continue to grow professionallyAbility to engage and motivate staff.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong attention to detail.Good safety record and understanding of safe work practices.Valid driver's license, good driving history and reliable transportation are required.
