This position involves designing, conducting, and analyzing tests on turboexpanders to ensure their performance, efficiency, and reliability meet design specifications and industry standards.Key Responsibilities:Test Planning:Collaborate closely with engineering teams to grasp turboexpander design specifics and testing goals.Formulate comprehensive test plans, encompassing procedures, timelines, and resource allocation.Uphold stringent safety measures and adhere to industry regulations throughout testing phases.Test Setup and Operation:Configure and set up test rigs, instrumentation, and data collection systems tailored for turboexpander evaluations.Execute turboexpander tests in alignment with prescribed procedures and safety protocols.Continuously monitor test parameters, making real-time adjustments to ensure data integrity.Conduct final checks on all electrical components of the Turboexpander skid.Data Collection and Analysis:Gather and document data from diverse sensors and instruments during testing.Scrutinize test outcomes to evaluate key performance indicators, including efficiency, pressure ratios, and temperature profiles.Detect and troubleshoot performance anomalies promptly.Reporting and Documentation:Generate detailed test reports encapsulating findings, data analyses, observations, and actionable recommendations.Document test procedures, equipment setups, and any adjustments made during testing.Liaise with cross-functional teams and management to relay results and insights.Test Equipment Maintenance:Undertake routine upkeep and calibration of testing equipment to ensure precision and dependability.Identify and rectify equipment malfunctions or deficiencies in a timely manner.Collaborate with engineering teams for major equipment repairs or upgrades.Continuous Improvement:Work alongside design engineers to incorporate design enhancements based on test insights and feedback.Explore innovative testing methodologies, technologies, and best practices to elevate the efficiency and accuracy of turboexpander testing.Safety and Compliance:Uphold safety protocols to foster a secure work environment.Remain abreast of industry standards and regulations pertinent to turboexpander testing and compliance.Qualifications:Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology preferred. High School diploma or GED with 5+ years of relevant experience will be considered.Experience: 3-5 years in manufacturing testing desired.Certifications: HAZWOPER or other OSHA certifications are advantageous.Skills:Proficient in reading mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and electrical schematics.Forklift operation experience is beneficial.Ability to debug and troubleshoot electronic equipment.Mechanical aptitude with previous experience in turboexpander or similar rotating equipment testing.Proficiency in data acquisition systems and analysis software.Strong problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail.Familiarity with industry standards and safety protocols.Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple tasks effectively.
