The Staff Engineer will play a vital role in providing technical expertise and support for various civil engineering projects, with a focus on geotechnical aspects. The selected candidate will be responsible for: Conduct geotechnical investigations, including field studies and laboratory testing, to assess site conditions.Analyze soil, rock, and groundwater data to provide recommendations for foundation design, slope stability, and other geotechnical aspects.Prepare geotechnical reports, calculations, and drawings in accordance with project requirements and industry standards.Utilize geotechnical engineering software and tools to perform analysis and design tasks efficiently and accurately.Collaborate with project teams, including engineers, architects, and construction professionals, to integrate geotechnical considerations into overall project designs.Provide technical support during construction activities, including site visits and evaluations, as needed.Ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and safety standards in all geotechnical design and construction activities.Stay updated on industry trends, advancements in geotechnical engineering technology, and best practices to continuously improve project outcomes.The selected candidate will also possess: Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, or Geotechnical Engineering.Minimum of 2 years of experience in geotechnical engineering or related field.Proficiency in geotechnical software applications such as gINT, GeoStudio, and PLAXIS.Strong understanding of soil mechanics, foundation engineering principles, and geotechnical analysis methods.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Eager to learn and adapt to new challenges and technologies in the field of geotechnical engineering.Salary: $40k-45k/yr For immediate and confidential consideration, please email your resume to mmerner@ or call 469.895.5514.
