iSeries Manager of Application DevelopmentIs your CV ready If so, and you are confident this is the role for you, make sure to apply asap.Responsibilities include:Managing the IT Development staff and contractors - currently consists of 4 resourcesDesign, development and delivery of quality business applicationsLeading the approach and design of partner integrationsUsing technical and functional expertise to be a lead architect in designing solutionsLead design and review sessions with development team, business partners and managementManage multiple, parallel projects using formal project management methodologiesMaintain controls that accurately reflect completed work against project plans, schedules and budgets, and ensure user/management involvement at appropriate milestonesManage application design through the various life-cycle stages from business need through design and deliveryManage project priorities, scope, budgets, timelines and expectationsReview, assess, and recommend vendor solutions and proposals for software and hardwareDevelop business cases for requested investmentLead the development of project documentation and training materials where applicableProvide technical support and assistance as necessaryEstablish and enforce best practices and implement policies and procedures for compliance to ensure company wide standards are followed and to meet SOX and security complianceProvide management with regular communication on the progress of projects and other initiativesResponsible for recommending staffing plans and skill sets on a per project basisResponsible for the management of staffingFacilitate a departmental culture that encourages ownership of departmental goals and a positive service cultureExperience/Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience8+ years demonstrated application development management experience in an ERP environmentKnowledge of supply chain principles and ERP systemsStrong technical knowledge of IBM i (AS/400), RPG, RPGIV/LE, CLP, SQL and DB2/400Excellent knowledge of IBM i architecture including configuration and performance tuningExtensive integration experience using APIs / web services and ODBC / JDBC connections to an IBM iResults-oriented professional who is a self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to use MS Office tools: Excel, Word, Power Point, Vision, Project, TeamsDemonstrated success of establishing, managing and maintaining effective working relationships at the management level, internal and external to an organizationStrong leadership, teaching and mentoring skillsCritical thinking, strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilityAbility to prioritize multiple projects, requests and support tasks effectively and efficientlyExperience with ERP Software, Datawarehousing / ETL processing a definite plusKnowledge of Aldon, Robot, MuleSoft, JSON, XML, HTML, , iCluster, Apache, Jira a plus
