Nuclear Professional needed for a 1 year contract opportunity with SOC's client to work in Richland, WA.***US citizenship required***Are you ready to apply Make sure you understand all the responsibilities and tasks associated with this role before proceeding.Responsibilities:Supports the HLW Nuclear Safety Engineering Team for completion of the HLW design and construction activities. Independently performs complex professional engineering assignments as directed by the HLW Nuclear Safety Program Supervisor.Performance of Engineering Document ReviewsDevelopment of Safety Evaluations for potential design changesSupport of development of PDSA changes supporting engineering design changesQualificationsExperience with DOE nuclear projects safety basis development, or commercial nuclear power plant licensing or analysis.Knowledge in nuclear safety/engineering.Experience with implementation of the Unreviewed Safety Question (USQ) or Safety Evaluation (SE) processesA bachelor's degree in mechanical, nuclear engineering, or other engineering fields from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 13 years of relevant experience.Minimum Qualifications:Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical (if located at the construction site), and background check which includes verification of employment and education.Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy badge for access to the Hanford Site. (Even if teleworking, must still be able to comply with security requirements to obtain a badge)Must possess the right to work and remain in the United States without sponsorship.Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge of WTP design or Hanford facilitiesEmployment Pre-requisitesThe following requirements must be met to be eligible for this position: successful completion of a background investigation, drug urinalysis, and verified compliance with Executive Order 14042, Ensuring Adequate COVID Safety Protocols for Federal Contractors.
