The primary focus is on maintaining, modifying, and updating existing product lines, as well as providing engineering support to sales, production, and warranty departments. Additionally, the Project Engineer will contribute to generating design ideas for new products and finding solutions to enhance existing products based on customer requests.This is a fully onsite position in Dallas (no hybrid option).ResponsibilitiesSALES DEPARTMENTConsult with the sales team on product features and options for customerDevelop new features on existing products based on customer requestsCreate new unit configurations based on sales requestsProvide technical data for sales related questionsENGINEERING DEPARTMENTCloud Suite Industrial 10 (ERP)Maintain unit label database and perform updates to Bartender when new products are launchedMaintain/update product and model nomenclatureBuild configurable unit BOMs into ERPPerform quick updates to existing products BOMs when neededCorrect outstanding issues from old product linesCreate and implement ideas in all product lines that will improve overall efficiencyMaintain and update units to code/standardsSupport in-house unit testing (airflow/electrical/sound/psychometric)Support recertification through third party company (Intertek/UL)Research into certification methods to improve designCAD DEPARTMENTConverting and creating new 3D models in InventorSupport CAD team when neededCreating prints (drawing and dxf) for prototypes and productionCreating ECNs to incorporate changesNPD Support NPD team when needed3D ModelingAdding BOMs to CSICreating new label templatesProviding technical data on parts in houseOPERATIONS DEPARTMENTInvestigate and implement production improvements on existing product linesProvide updated job material pick-list upon order entry issuesExplore cost reductions within specific product series.Offer guidance on replacement parts for purchasing and production, and develop solutions for inventory shortages WARRANTY/ FIELD SUPPORTProvide on-site maintenance and support when requiredCreate engineering bulletins for product lines in the field when major revisions have been implementedInvestigate and identify the root cause of issues whether related to engineering, components, or site/constructionInterested in hearing more?
