Imperium Data Talent Solutions has a client located in the Tampa, FL area looking to add a Network Engineer to their team. Evaluate, update and replace network infrastructure as needed per hardware lifecycle. Review security logs on regular basis. Maintain and manage VoIP/telephony infrastructure. Maintain network security systems and intrusion detection platforms. Review penetration testing results and mitigate potential issues. What our client is looking for: Thorough knowledge of information technology networking practices and principles.Bachelor degree in Information Technology, related field, or will consider equivalent related experience in lieu of degree. 5+ years of information technology experience and recent experience in network engineering role. Ability to travel locally and maintain multiple locations for the organization. Openness to working nights and weekends as needed. Niche industry requires it at times. Knowledge of IT security and compliance is a major plus. (i.e. HIPPA, NIST, etc.)Thorough technical knowledge of network design, LAN/WAN, MPLS, Routing and Switching with specific knowledge of Extreme Networks a plus.Extreme / FortiGate VPN, Firewall and network security experience.SAN experience including ISCI and FiberVideo Conferencing, Telepresence, collaboration and Video bridging (Cisco)Imperium Data Talent Solutions is a division of Imperium Data, a full-service IT Solutions Provider.
