In this role, the primary responsibilities will include managing the Network Operations Center and infrastructure teams. The NOC team is responsible for 24/7 monitoring and troubleshooting of the network to ensure peak performance & reliability, supporting field infrastructure teams, and execution of network projects. The infrastructure teams (tower and fiber) are responsible for maintenance, repairs, and upgrades on our backbone infrastructure. Additional key functions include collaborating with the NOC Team to identify areas for improvement and opportunity, while working in partnership with Dispatch, Engineering and Field Operations managers to address network and customer issues in an effective and timely manner. The Network Operations Director will consistently ensure upgrade recommendations are submitted to the Engineering Project Manager and executed effectively to result in a superior customer experience.Essential Job FunctionsResponsible for network monitoring, surveillance, & repairCapacity managementFully operational network reliability of 99.999% uptimeCollaborate with other departments to provide Network design and configuration suggestionsIdentify current & future customer requirements by utilizing existing tools & methodsMOP Review/ApprovalResearch, collect, review & analyze performance data to provide recommendationsDirect management of the NOC, TOPS & OSP ManagersRepresent NOC, TOPS & OSP Departments to the CompanyComply with Core Values & ensure department adherence to policy & procedureEnsure upgrade opportunities are identified and submittedAbility to travel up to 10% overnights if neededAll other duties assignedRegular & predictable attendance requiredLegally authorized to work in country of employment without requiring sponsorship for employment visa status, now or in the futureMust pass a background check, MVR & drug screenDesired Skills & CompetenciesExcellent overall communication skillsStrong problem-solving skillsSuccessful collaboration with other departments while working under pressureFixed Wireless ExperienceExperience & competence in low voltage DC Power systemsAbility to maintain confidential informationDesire to lead teams utilizing effective team building skillsDemonstrate personal accountability by displaying punctuality for appointments & meetingsProject management experienceCustomer service experienceJob RequirementsHigh School Diploma or equivalentMust have at least 6+ years of ISP industry experience4+ years' experience troubleshooting Fiber &/or Wireless/ Network systems4+ years' experience in employee managementAdvanced IP Networking knowledge required (competency in full OSI stack)Working ConditionsFast-paced environment with multiple changes to schedules & fluctuating prioritiesWork is primarily inside an office at a desk or home office#6017
