Job Description:

As a Pipe Journeyman, you will perform pipefitting and pipe welding on commercial and industrial construction projects.Make sure to apply with all the requested information, as laid out in the job overview below.Job DutiesLay-out, install, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain piping systems, pipe supports, fixtures, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipmentDuties include pipefitting, pipe welding and installation of pipe hangers and related materialsAbility to work with carbon steel, copper, iron, stainless steel, etc. piping ranging in size up to 10 inchesPlan installation and repairs to avoid obstructionsAbility to cut, thread, bend and weld pipe as required by specifications using saws, cutting torches, pipe cutting machines, threading machines, bending tools and machines, and welding torchesInstallation of chilled, hot and steam pipingInstallation of valves, hangers, supports, and flanges inside HVAC piping systemsSecure pipe to structures with hangers, brackets, and clamps using hand and power toolsPrepare pipe and fittings for hoisting and riggingAble to work off ladders, man lifts and other equipment from various heightsPerform other related duties or special projects as assignedRequirements5 or more years of experience working with HVAC piping installation preferred6G certification requiredExperience installing chillers, boilers, and cooling towersExperience installing chilled, hot and steam pipingFamiliarity with blueprint, schematic, drawing, and other equipment layout materialsExperience leading/coaching an ApprenticeOSHA 10 certification preferred (company will provide if needed)Additional RequirementsMaintain a positive, cooperative, and teachable attitudeInitiative; self-motivated (driven), self-starterComplies and promotes company Safety PolicyRequires basic mechanical aptitude and English language skillsAnalytical and problem-solving skillsRegular and punctual attendance.
