Job Description:

The successful candidate should have a Bachelor in Science degree in Civil Engineering with a Florida Professional Engineer License with 5+ years of experience in providing site grading and stormwater calculations/modeling to meet local and state requirements. The candidate should have strong oral and written communication skills with experience with hydraulic and hydrology modeling software including ICPR, StormCAD and MODRET. The candidate must have a desire to work in a dynamic office culture. General Duties & Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Responsible for all phases of project development related to storm water management, flood plain mitigation studies, hydraulic analysis and design, water quality calculations and storm water BMP selection.Analyze information and data to perform drainage design tasks.Make decisions independently on engineering problems and methods, and occasionally represent the organization in meetings to resolve important questions, and to plan and coordinate work.Receive instructions from the Project Manager or Senior Project Engineers as to the general results expected.Seek technical guidance on unusual or complex problems and supervisory approval on proposed plans for projects.Responsible for accuracy of engineering design and plans, quality presentation, thoroughness and follow-through, and efficient conformance to budgets, schedules, and company standards.Keep the Project Manager informed of workload and any changes in project schedule or scope or additional services.Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal network, and participating in professional societies.Perform as a staff advisor and consultant for technical specialty.Applying for this role is straight forward Scroll down and click on Apply to be considered for this position.QualificationsWhat you bring to our firm:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on hydrology or hydraulicsProfessional Engineer able to work in FloridaCertified Floodplain ManagerState of Florida Permitting and Water Management Drainage experienceActively engages multiple perspectives when solving problems, seeks to learn from peers, and encourages reciprocal learning among team members.Local candidates preferred
