Job Description:

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Test Engineer to join the Data Center Power and Control Division Team in Reno, NV. The Sr. Test Engineer will use knowledge of electrical theory to test, characterize, and debug low-voltage and high-voltage power distribution systems. The Sr. Test Engineer will coordinate basic and routine test activities between engineering and manufacturing to achieve the test objectives in a timely manner. This position will document all important aspects of the setup, performance, and results of the testing. The Sr. Test Engineer will ensure that all assigned duties are performed quickly, efficiently, and according to the established departmental and company policies, procedures, and goals.Making sure you fit the guidelines as an applicant for this role is essential, please read the below carefully.What Will You Do?Develop and execute system-level procedures to be used for testing, validating, and characterizing new single-phase and multi-phase PDU designs and existing PDU products that exhibit problems.Develop and execute comprehensive engineering test, characterization, reliability, and margin plans for printed circuit board assemblies.Collaborate with peers to manage the development of test parameters to verify PDU products meet internal and external requirements.Develop test fixtures and circuits required to execute engineering tests, validation, and characterization plans.Generate code and test scripts to be used to run automated tests and data collection.Write engineering reports and create presentations to document and communicate test, characterization, reliability, statistical analysis, and margin results along with recommended corrective actions.Recommend design changes based on internal and external customer feedback.Work with the Electrical Engineering Team and Project Management to determine the root cause of system-level validation failures and propose solutions.Participate in design reviews of printed circuit boards and electro-mechanical assemblies.
