Manages activities of cost reduction projects including documentation to write AFE update reportsDevelops project objectives and plans by reviewing the overall scope with the management team. Monitors and improves machine processes & develops work instructions to train employees and participate in implementing safety improvements by working with internal and external resourcesEvaluates and improves manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; incorporating new methods and techniques; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, tooling and materials; soliciting observations from operators; studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying and testing manufacturing methods and equipmentAssists in determining root cause and provide corrective action with customer product complaints and validate implemented manufacturing process improvements to ensure desired resultsParticipates in projects that support in reducing downtime and scrap while organize, plan and commission new or modified production linesDevelops appropriate manufacturing process documentation (work instructions, process setup instructions, and maintenance requirements) for integration into the company's quality systemControls project costs by approving expenditures and administering contractor contracts.Prepares project status reports by analyzing information and reviewing timelines and investigate operational problems affecting production in a systematic and methodical mannerEnsures that all contractors and personnel working on projects comply with Federal, State and OSHA regulations.
