SummaryProvides the customer with on-going plant support including high quality preventative maintenance work, troubleshooting, and repair activities as needed for in-house, on-site and/or phone support of all their robotic needs. Identifies on-the-job training opportunities and coaching/mentoring the customer team members. Will report to the customer location every day. Very limited travel requirements so perfect for those who wish to avoid the heavy travel schedules usually associated with field service work.A variety of soft skills and experience may be required for the following role Please ensure you check the overview below carefully.Essential Duties and Responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following.Requires the ability to perform in-house, on-site, and/or telephone troubleshooting, repairs and support of KUKA equipment on an as-needed basis. Requires the ability to work within a flexible work schedule. Requires the ability to work long hours when needed to meet customer needs. Provides assistance to KUKA Robotics customers and internal personnel for the troubleshooting and repair of electrical, mechanical and programming problems related to KUKA Robotics equipment.Provides high level plant support knowledge including, but not limited to, Electrical and Mechanical troubleshooting work. Makes a complete backup of all software, programming, or configuration changes. Provides one copy to the customer and keeps one copy for KUKA Robotics service files.Completes Field Service reports with an accurate description of the problem reported/identified, the solution, and/or a complete list of all parts/options that may have been worked on. Obtains the dated signature of the identified/authorized customer contact and supplies a copy to the customer. Leads by Example. Develops technical credibility and rapport with customer.Works with the Project Manager and/or related supervisor(s) to identify customer needs and solutions for the customer.Assists KUKA Robotics customers and internal personnel with the troubleshooting and repair of electrical, mechanical and programming problems related to KUKA Robotics equipment.Completes all paperwork (i.e. timesheets, expense reports, project proposals, etc.) completely, neatly, legibly, and in a timely manner.Maintains and improves skills and product/application knowledge in conjunction with the Service Supervisor and/or related supervisor(s).Identifies training needs and keeps abreast of competition benchmarks and technology changes. Adheres to the Quality System and participates in continuous improvement.MUST understand and follow safety regulations as well as identify/report safety concerns observed at KUKA Robotics', customer and/or integrator sites.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
